SMS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These SMS Terms and Conditions govern the text message program operated by GMJ Enterprises LLC, doing business as The Coley Agency ("The Coley Agency," "we," "us," or "our").
Program Description
By opting in, you agree to receive text messages from The Coley Agency related to your insurance inquiry or policy. Messages may include follow-up on a quote request you submitted, requests for the additional information we need to prepare an accurate quote, links to schedule a consultation with agent Michele Coley, appointment confirmations and reminders, notifications that your quote is ready, and responses to questions you send us.
This is a conversational, one-to-one program. We do not send bulk marketing blasts, and we do not purchase, rent, or text purchased phone lists.
How to Opt In
You may opt in to receive text messages by:
Checking the SMS consent box when you submit the quote request form at thecoleyagency.com/contact-us, or
Providing verbal consent to a member of our team during a phone call, which we record in our system with the date and time, or
Texting us first.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service from The Coley Agency. You do not need to agree to receive texts in order to get a quote or buy a policy. You must be at least 18 years old and the owner or authorized user of the mobile number you provide.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your engagement with us. Most customers receive approximately 5 to 10 messages per month.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. The Coley Agency does not charge for the text messages themselves, but your mobile carrier's standard messaging and data charges will apply according to your plan. Contact your carrier for details about your plan.
How to Opt Out
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. You will receive a single confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out, and you will not receive further text messages from us unless you opt in again.
You may also opt out by calling us at (205) 946-2150 or emailing [email protected].
If you opt out, we may still contact you by phone or email regarding your quote request or policy where you have separately agreed to those methods or where the contact is necessary to service an existing policy.

Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet the recordkeeping requirements that apply to licensed insurance agencies in Alabama and Mississippi, and for as long as otherwise required by law.
Supported Carriers
Our text message program is supported by major U.S. carriers including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Boost Mobile, MetroPCS, Cricket, and Google Voice, as well as certain smaller regional carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier and is not guaranteed by The Coley Agency.
Changes to Your Mobile Number
If you change or deactivate the mobile number you provided to us, you agree to notify us promptly at (205) 946-2150 or [email protected] so that we do not send messages intended for you to a subsequent holder of that number.
Privacy
Information you provide in connection with this program is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
No Sensitive Information by Text
Please do not send Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial account numbers, or health information by text message. If we need that information to prepare your quote, we will collect it through a secure method.
Not a Substitute for Policy Documents
Text messages from The Coley Agency are for convenience and general information only. They do not bind coverage, alter the terms of any policy, or serve as proof of insurance. Coverage is effective only when confirmed in writing by the issuing insurance carrier. Claims and coverage questions requiring an official response should be directed to your carrier or to our office by phone.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these SMS Terms and Conditions at any time. The current version will always be posted on this page with an updated Effective Date.
